Suggested Use
Melanov MR 60 Tablets are used to:
- Control blood sugar levels in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
- Prevent complications associated with diabetes, including cardiovascular events, retinopathy, and nephropathy, when used as part of a comprehensive diabetes management plan involving diet and exercise.
The dosage will be personalized by the healthcare provider based on the specific condition being treated.
Warning
- Hypoglycemia: Caution is needed in the elderly and in those with mild to moderate hepatic and renal impairment because of the hazard of hypoglycemia.
- Contraindications: Not to be used in patients with ketoacidosis, severe infection, trauma, or other severe conditions where the sulfonylurea is unlikely to control the hypoglycemia.
- Side Effects: Gastrointestinal disturbances such as nausea, vomiting, heartburn, anorexia, diarrhea, and metallic taste may occur. Increased appetite and weight gain may also occur. Skin rashes and pruritus may occur, and photosensitivity has been reported.
