Suggested Use
Harteze 10mg Tablets are used for:
- Preventing and treating deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE).
- Reducing the risk of stroke in patients with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation.
- Preventing blood clots in patients undergoing hip or knee replacement surgery.
- Reducing the risk of major cardiovascular events in patients with chronic coronary artery disease (CAD) or peripheral artery disease (PAD).
Dosage
- For DVT and PE prevention: One tablet taken once daily.
- For treating DVT and PE: The dose may be higher initially and then reduced as per the healthcare provider’s instructions.
- For stroke prevention in atrial fibrillation: Typically, 20 mg once daily with the evening meal.
- For post-surgery prophylaxis: 10 mg once daily, starting 6 to 10 hours after surgery.
Warning
- Do not use:
- If allergic to Rivaroxaban or any excipients in the tablet.
- In active bleeding or bleeding disorders.
- In severe liver or kidney impairment.
- Caution required:
- In patients with increased bleeding risks (e.g., due to surgery, trauma, or medical conditions).
- When co-administered with other anticoagulants, NSAIDs, or antiplatelets.
- During pregnancy or breastfeeding unless specifically advised by a doctor.
- Avoid abrupt discontinuation unless recommended by a healthcare provider, as it may increase the risk of thrombotic events.
Possible Side Effects
- Common: Bleeding, bruising, dizziness, headache, and gastrointestinal discomfort.
- Rare but severe: Hemorrhage, severe allergic reactions, or liver dysfunction.
