Harteze 10mg Tablets contain Rivaroxaban, an anticoagulant. It inhibits Factor Xa, a key enzyme in blood clotting, to prevent harmful blood clots. Harteze is commonly prescribed to reduce the risk of thromboembolic events in certain health conditions.

Anti-Coagulants

Suggested Use

Harteze 10mg Tablets are used for:

  1. Preventing and treating deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE).
  2. Reducing the risk of stroke in patients with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation.
  3. Preventing blood clots in patients undergoing hip or knee replacement surgery.
  4. Reducing the risk of major cardiovascular events in patients with chronic coronary artery disease (CAD) or peripheral artery disease (PAD).

Dosage

  • For DVT and PE prevention: One tablet taken once daily.
  • For treating DVT and PE: The dose may be higher initially and then reduced as per the healthcare provider’s instructions.
  • For stroke prevention in atrial fibrillation: Typically, 20 mg once daily with the evening meal.
  • For post-surgery prophylaxis: 10 mg once daily, starting 6 to 10 hours after surgery.

    • In active bleeding or bleeding disorders.
    • In severe liver or kidney impairment.
  • Caution required:
    • In patients with increased bleeding risks (e.g., due to surgery, trauma, or medical conditions).
    • When co-administered with other anticoagulants, NSAIDs, or antiplatelets.
    • During pregnancy or breastfeeding unless specifically advised by a doctor.
  • Avoid abrupt discontinuation unless recommended by a healthcare provider, as it may increase the risk of thrombotic events.

Possible Side Effects

  • Rare but severe: Hemorrhage, severe allergic reactions, or liver dysfunction.

Note: Report any unusual bleeding, prolonged bruising, or symptoms of blood clotting to your doctor immediately.
