Gaviscon Peppermint Tablets provide fast, soothing, and long-lasting relief from heartburn and indigestion. They effectively neutralize stomach acid and help keep acid down. Gaviscon tablets form a protective layer on top of the stomach contents to prevent acid from refluxing into the esophagus (food pipe), relieving discomfort. These tablets have a pleasant peppermint flavour.
Each tablet contains:
- Sodium Alginate 250 mg
- Sodium Bicarbonate 133.5 mg
- Calcium Carbonate 80 mg
Antacids
Suggested Use
Gaviscon Peppermint Tablets are used for:
- Relief from heartburn and acid reflux
- Treatment of indigestion (dyspepsia)
- Protection against acid-related discomfort during pregnancy
- Managing symptoms of GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease)
Dosage and Administration:
- Adults and children over 12 years: Chew 2 to 4 tablets after meals and at bedtime, as needed.
- Children under 12 years: Use only under medical supervision.
- Do not exceed the recommended dose.
Warning
- Do not take if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.
- Contains sodium; consult a doctor if on a sodium-restricted diet.
- Not suitable for patients with severe kidney disease due to calcium content.
- If symptoms persist for more than 7 days, seek medical advice.
- Safe for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding, but consult a doctor before use.
