Ciprobay Tabs 500mg are used to treat:
- Respiratory tract infections (e.g., pneumonia, bronchitis)
- Urinary tract infections
- Genital tract infections (e.g., gonorrhoea)
- Gastrointestinal tract infections (e.g., travellers’ diarrhoea)
- Skin and soft tissue infections
- Bone and joint infections
- Intra-abdominal infections
- Prevention of infections due to Neisseria meningitidis
- Inhalation anthrax (post-exposure prophylaxis and treatment)
Dosage:
The dosage of Ciprobay Tabs 500mg depends on the type and severity of the infection, as well as the patient’s renal function. It is important to follow the doctor’s prescription. Generally, the usual dose for adults is:
- 500 mg twice daily for 7–14 days
Warning
- Ciprobay should only be prescribed when other antibiotics are inappropriate due to potential serious side effects.
- Patients with a history of seizures or neurological disorders should use this medication cautiously, as it may exacerbate these conditions.
- Caution is advised in patients with kidney problems; dosage adjustments may be necessary.
