Amlosun 10mg Tablets are prescribed to:
- Lower blood pressure to reduce the risk of heart attacks, strokes, and kidney problems.
- Prevent and reduces the frequency of angina episodes.
- Enhance blood flow to the heart muscles, relieving symptoms.
Dosage:
- Adults:
- The typical starting dose is 5 mg once daily, which can be increased to 10 mg once daily based on the patient’s response.
- Elderly or Those with Liver Impairment:
- Start with 5 mg once daily, with close monitoring.
- Take the tablet orally with water, with or without food.
- Administer at the same time each day to maintain consistent blood levels.
Warning
- Do Not Use If:
- You are allergic to Amlodipine or any of the tablet’s ingredients.
- You have severe hypotension (low blood pressure).
- You have aortic stenosis or cardiogenic shock.
- Precautions:
- Monitor blood pressure regularly.
- Use cautiously in patients with liver impairment.
- Avoid abrupt discontinuation, as this may cause a sudden spike in blood pressure.
- Possible Side Effects:
- Common: Dizziness, headache, flushing, swelling of the legs or ankles (edema).
