It includes Glucagon, a hormone that raises blood sugar by signalling the liver to release glucose. The kit features a prefilled syringe and a vial of glucagon powder for mixing. It is a key emergency resource for diabetic patients and healthcare workers.

Suggested Use
Indications:
- Treatment of severe hypoglycemia in diabetic patients.
- Used in diagnostic procedures for the stomach, intestines, and other organs to relax muscles.
Dosage and Administration:
- Open the kit and combine the glucagon powder with the provided liquid in the prefilled syringe.
- Gently swirl the vial until the solution is clear.
- Administer the injection intramuscularly, subcutaneously, or intravenously as per healthcare provider instructions.
- For severe hypoglycemia, adults and children weighing ≥25kg or aged ≥6 years typically receive 1 mg; children weighing <25kg or aged <6 years typically receive 0.5 mg.
- Call emergency medical help immediately after administration.
Important Notes:
- The reconstituted solution must be used immediately.
- Ensure the person regains consciousness and can consume carbohydrates to prevent recurrent hypoglycemia.
Warning
- Contraindications:
- Known allergy to glucagon or any component of the kit.
- Patients with pheochromocytoma (can cause excess adrenaline release).
- Insulinoma (can worsen hypoglycemia).
- Precautions:
- Use with caution in individuals with a history of adrenal gland disorders or prolonged fasting.
- Repeated doses may require close medical supervision due to potential electrolyte imbalances.
- Side Effects:
- Common: Nausea, vomiting, headache, or dizziness.
- Rare but serious: Allergic reactions, rapid heart rate, or blood pressure fluctuations.
- Storage:
- Store in a refrigerator (2°C to 8°C).
- Do not freeze. Keep the kit away from light and out of reach of children.
- Emergency Preparedness:
- Inform close contacts, caregivers, or colleagues on how to administer Glucagen in case of emergency.
