Feldene Capsules contain piroxicam, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) known for its strong pain-relieving, anti-inflammatory, and fever-reducing effects. Feldene 20 mg is designed to treat various inflammatory conditions and is effective for both chronic and acute musculoskeletal pain.

Suggested Use
Feldene is primarily indicated for the relief of symptoms associated with:
- Osteoarthritis
- Rheumatoid arthritis
- Acute musculoskeletal disorders, such as sprains or strains
- Painful post-traumatic inflammation
- Ankylosing spondylitis
Adults: The typical dose is 20 mg taken once daily. In some cases, the dose may be split into two doses of 10 mg each. Dosage adjustments may be required for elderly patients, especially those with compromised kidney or liver function.
Warning
- Piroxicam can cause gastrointestinal side effects such as ulcers, bleeding, or perforation, which can be life-threatening. Use with caution, particularly in those with a history of GI disorders.
- Long-term use of NSAIDs like piroxicam may increase the risk of serious cardiovascular events, including stroke and heart attack. Avoid use in patients with known cardiovascular disease unless prescribed by a healthcare provider.
- Regular monitoring is advised in patients with renal or hepatic impairment.
- Do not use if you have known hypersensitivity to piroxicam or other NSAIDs.
- Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless deemed essential by a healthcare provider.
