Suggested Use
Arcoxia 90mg Tablets are used for the following conditions:
- Osteoarthritis
- Rheumatoid arthritis
- Ankylosing spondylitis
- Acute gouty arthritis
- Relief of chronic musculoskeletal pain
- Short-term treatment of moderate pain after dental surgery
Dosage:
The dosage of Arcoxia 90mg Tablets varies depending on the condition being treated:
- Osteoarthritis: 30mg once a day, increased to a maximum of 60mg once a day if needed.
- Rheumatoid arthritis: 60mg once a day, increased to a maximum of 90mg once a day if needed.
- Ankylosing spondylitis: 60mg once a day, increased to a maximum of 90mg once a day if needed.
- Acute gouty arthritis: 120mg once a day, limited to a maximum of 8 days.
- Postoperative dental surgery pain: 90mg once daily, limited to a maximum of 3 days.
Warning
- Do not use Arcoxia if you have known hypersensitivity to etoricoxib or other NSAIDs, peptic ulcer disease, severe liver or kidney impairment.
- Caution is advised when taken with antihypertensives, warfarin, lithium, and other medications. Alcohol consumption may increase the risk of gastrointestinal side effects.
- Consult a healthcare provider before use if pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding.
- Common side effects may include stomach upset, dizziness, oedema (fluid retention), headache, and palpitations. If severe side effects occur, such as high blood pressure or signs of an allergic reaction, seek medical attention immediately.
