Tacrovate Forte Ointment treats moderate to severe inflammatory skin conditions, particularly those unresponsive to traditional corticosteroids. It contains a non-steroidal immunomodulator that helps control flare-ups and promote healthier skin. Active ingredient:Tacrolimus 0.1%.
Eczema & Psoriasis Treatment
Suggested Use
Tacrovate Forte Ointment is indicated for:
- Atopic Dermatitis: Provides relief from inflammation and itching in moderate to severe cases.
- Eczema: Helps reduce symptoms and improve the skin’s condition.
- Psoriasis: Useful in managing plaque psoriasis in sensitive areas such as the face and genitals.
- Vitiligo: Adjunctive therapy to enhance repigmentation.
Dosage and Application:
- Adults and Adolescents (16 years and older):
Apply a thin layer to the affected areas of the skin twice daily (morning and evening). Continue until the lesions clear, and use intermittently for maintenance as directed by a healthcare provider. - Children (2-15 years):
Tacrovate Forte (0.1%) is not typically recommended for this age group; a lower concentration (e.g., 0.03%) is preferred.
Duration of Use: Avoid continuous use for more than six weeks. If symptoms persist, consult a healthcare provider.
Warning
- Use sunscreen and protective clothing to minimize UV exposure during treatment.
- Do not ingest or apply near the eyes.
- Avoid application on infected or open wounds. Treat any infections before starting treatment.
- Prolonged use may increase the risk of malignancies, particularly skin cancers and lymphoma.
- Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Use only if necessary and under a doctor’s supervision.
- Discontinue use if severe irritation, swelling, or allergic reactions occur.
- Children Under 2 Years: Safety and efficacy have not been established in this age group.
