Nervilin 150mg Capsules contain pregabalin, an anticonvulsant used to manage neuropathic pain. Pregabalin works by reducing the number of pain signals sent out by damaged nerves, providing relief from chronic pain. Active Substances: Pregabalin 150mg per capsule
Neuropathy Treatment
Suggested Use
Nervilin 150mg Capsules are used to treat:
- Neuropathic pain caused by nerve damage due to conditions like diabetes, shingles (herpes zoster), or spinal cord injury.
- Fibromyalgia
- Certain types of seizures when used in combination with other medications
Dosage:
- Neuropathic Pain: Initially, 150 mg/day, may increase to 300 mg/day after 3-7 days. Maximum: 600 mg/day.
- Fibromyalgia: Initially, 150 mg/day, may increase to 300 mg/day after a week. Maximum: 450 mg/day.
- Partial Seizures: Initially, 150 mg/day, may increase to 300 mg/day after a week. Maximum: 600 mg/day.
Administration: Take one capsule daily, preferably at the same time each day, with or without food. Swallow the capsule whole with water. Do not crush or chew the capsule.
Warning
- Common Side Effects: Dizziness, sleepiness, dry mouth, and weight gain.
- Less Common Side Effects: Blurred vision, swelling, and difficulty concentrating.
- Severe Side Effects: Mood changes or suicidal thoughts. Seek medical attention immediately if these occur.
- Precautions: May impair the ability to drive or operate machinery. Abrupt or rapid discontinuation may produce symptoms like insomnia, nausea, headache, and diarrhoea. Gradually taper off the medication under medical supervision.
- Contraindications: Hypersensitivity, pregnancy, lactation.
- Interactions: May potentiate the effects of lorazepam, opiates, and benzodiazepines. May increase the risk of angioedema with ACE inhibitors and weight gain with thiazolidinediones.
