Metrogyl Denta Gel is a dental treatment for oral infections and inflammation, featuring the antibacterial agents metronidazole and chlorhexidine. It contains 10 mg of metronidazole and 0.5 mg of chlorhexidine per gram of gel.

Suggested Use
Metrogyl Denta Gel is used for:
- Treatment of acute and chronic gingivitis.
- Management of acute necrotizing ulcerative gingivitis (Vincent’s gingivitis).
- Treatment of acute and chronic periodontitis.
- Management of juvenile periodontitis.
- Treatment of periodontosis complicated by gingivitis.
- Management of aphthous stomatitis.
- Treatment of pulpitis and cheilitis.
- Inflammation of the oral mucosa caused by dentures.
- Post-extraction alveolitis (inflammation after tooth removal).
- Periodontal abscess as part of combination therapy.
Dosage:
- Adults and Children Over 6 Years: Apply a thin layer of Metrogyl Denta Gel to the affected gum area twice daily using a finger or swab. Avoid eating or drinking for 30 minutes after application. Do not rinse the gel off.
Warning
- Do not use it if you have a known hypersensitivity to metronidazole, chlorhexidine, or any other gel components. Not recommended for children under 6 years old.
- Continue regular oral hygiene practices during treatment. Avoid swallowing the gel. If irritation occurs, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional.
- Not recommended for use during the first trimester of pregnancy. Consult a healthcare provider before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- Avoid using with anionic agents found in conventional dentifrices. Rinse the mouth and toothbrush between applications if using other dental products.
