Glipita 50 Tablet helps control blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetes, especially when diet and exercise are insufficient. It can be taken alone or with other diabetes medications. Active Ingredient: Sitagliptin Phosphate 50 mg.

Suggested Use
Glipita 50 Tablet is indicated for:
- Management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus:
- As monotherapy for patients inadequately controlled by diet and exercise.
- As part of combination therapy with other glucose-lowering agents (e.g., metformin, sulfonylureas, or insulin).
- To improve glycemic control and reduce HbA1c levels.
Adult Dosage:
- Usual dose: 50 mg once daily.
- For combination therapy: Adjust dosage as prescribed by the healthcare provider.
- It can be taken with or without food.
Warning
- Hypoglycemia Risk: Increased risk when used in combination with sulfonylureas or insulin. Consider dose adjustment of other antidiabetic agents to avoid low blood sugar episodes.
- Cases of acute pancreatitis have been reported. Discontinue if pancreatitis is suspected.
- Serious hypersensitivity reactions, including anaphylaxis and angioedema, have been reported. Stop medication immediately if allergic reactions occur.
- Regular monitoring of renal function is recommended, especially in patients with pre-existing renal impairment.
- Use cautiously in patients with a history of heart failure.
- Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to sitagliptin or any component of the tablet.
- Common side effects include: Headache, Upper respiratory tract infections, and Nasopharyngitis
- Serious but rare side effects: Severe joint pain, Pancreatitis and Hypoglycemia (when combined with sulfonylureas or insulin)
