Flamazine 1% Cream is a topical antibiotic used to help treat and prevent infections in wounds, burns, and skin ulcers. Its active ingredient, silver sulfadiazine, has strong antibacterial effects and works against various germs, including both bacteria and fungi.

Suggested Use
Flamazine 1% Cream is used for:
- Preventing and treating infections in burn wounds
- Managing bacterial infections in skin ulcers and cuts
- Assisting wound healing in patients prone to skin infections
Dosage and Application:
- Adults and children: After cleaning the wound, apply a thin layer (approximately 3–5 mm) of Flamazine 1% Cream to the affected area once or twice daily or as directed by a healthcare provider.
- Reapply if the cream is removed due to movement, washing, or bandage changes.
- Cover with a sterile dressing if recommended by a healthcare provider.
Warning
- Do not use if allergic to silver sulfadiazine, other sulfonamides, or any component of the cream.
- Pregnancy and breast-feeding: Consult a doctor before using, as silver sulfadiazine can be absorbed through the skin.
- Use with caution on patients with severe renal or liver impairment, as absorption may occur, leading to potential systemic side effects.
- Prolonged use is generally not recommended. Monitor for signs of allergic reaction or secondary infection, especially in cases of long-term use.
- May cause localized skin irritation, discolouration, and in rare cases, blood-related effects if absorbed in large amounts.
Flamazine 1% Cream should be used under the supervision of a healthcare professional, especially for severe wounds, to ensure proper wound care and healing.
