Like all medicines, Covonia does have side effects. If you experience any of the following, stop taking this medicine and contact your doctor. Sickness or feeling sick, dependence and addiction, constipation, drowsiness, dizziness, or stomach discomfort.
- Consult your doctor before use if pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking other medications.
- Do not use if the seal is broken or if you have an allergy to any ingredients.
- Contains menthol and other essential oils – avoid contact with eyes.
- Stop use and seek medical advice if symptoms persist beyond 7 days.
- May cause mild stomach upset in sensitive individuals.
- Keep out of reach of children.
What's In It
Active ingredients per 5ml: Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide 7.5mg, Menthol 2.5mg. Also contains: Ethanol, Glycerol (E422), Sucrose. Alcohol 0.18 vol%. Sucrose 3.07g per 5ml
Warning
- Do not take this medicine if you have any allergies to the ingredients listed, are under the age of 12 or are taking depression tablets within the last 2 weeks.
- This medicine contains (per 15ml dose): 8.8g of sucrose per 10ml dose – this should be carefully acknowledged by people with diabetes.
- If you have an intolerance to some sugars, get advice from your doctor before taking this medicine.
- 14mg of alcohol (ethanol) in each 10ml dose. The amount in 10ml of this medicine is less than 1ml of beer or 1ml of wine. The small amount of alcohol in this medicine will not have any noticeable effects.
