Betagan 0.5% Eye Drops controls elevated intraocular pressure (high pressure inside the eye) in patients with ocular hypertension and certain types of glaucoma. It helps lower the pressure in the eye by reducing the production of fluid, thereby reducing the risk of vision loss.Active Substances: Levobunolol Hydrochloride: 0.5% w/v (5 mg/ml)

Suggested Use

Betagan 0.5% Eye Drops is used to treat:

  1. Glaucoma: A condition where increased pressure in the eye can lead to vision loss.
  2. Ocular Hypertension: Elevated pressure in the eye without any detectable changes in vision or damage to the eye.
Dosage:
  • Adults and Elderly: Instil 1 drop into the affected eye(s) once or twice daily, as directed by your doctor.
  • Children: Not recommended for use in children below 18 years of age.
  • Contact Lens Users: Remove contact lenses before using the drops and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting them.

Warning

  • Allergies: Do not use if you are allergic to Levobunolol or any other ingredients.
  • Asthma/COPD: Not recommended for use in patients with asthma or severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
  • Heart Conditions: Inform your doctor if you have a history of heart problems, such as slow heart rate, heart failure, or irregular heartbeat.
  • Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Use only if clearly needed and after consulting with your doctor.
  • Children: Not recommended for use in children under 18 years of age.
