Suggested Use
Always read the patient information leaflet before using this medicine.
- For adults and children 12 years and over: Take 2 red/yellow Day capsules every 4–6 hours during the day as needed, followed by 2 dark blue/light blue Night capsules at bedtime.
- Swallow capsules whole with water; do not chew.
- Do not take more than 8 capsules in 24 hours and always leave at least 4 hours between doses.
- Not suitable for children under 12 years
Caution
- Consult your doctor before use if you have high blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid disorders, or take other medications.
- Discontinue use and seek medical advice if symptoms worsen or persist beyond 7 days.
- Contains paracetamol – do not take with other paracetamol-containing products.
- Do not operate heavy machinery or drive while using nighttime capsules.
- Avoid alcohol consumption while taking this medication.
- Not suitable for children under 16 years.
What's In It
The active ingredients in Benylin Cold & Flu Day & Night Max Strength Capsules are: Day Capsule: Paracetamol 500mg, Caffeine 25mg, Phenylephrine Hydrochloride 6.1mg. Night Capsule: Paracetamol 500mg, Phenylephrine Hydrochloride 6.1mg. Day Capsule Also Contains: Maize Starch, Croscarmellose Sodium, Sodium Laurilsulfate, Magnesium Stearate and Talc. The capsule shell is made of Gelatin and contains the colors Quinoline Yellow (E104), Titanium Dioxide (E171), Patent Blue V (E131) and Erythrosine (E127). Night Capsule Also Contains: Maize Starch, Croscarmellose Sodium, Sodium Laurilsulfate, Magnesium Stearate and Talc. The capsule shell is made of Gelatin and contains the colours Titanium Dioxide (E171), Erythrosine (E127) and Indigo Carmine (E132).
Warning
If symptoms persist or worsen, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. If anyone has too much, contact a doctor or your nearest Accident and Emergency Department (Casualty) taking the leaflet and pack with you. You should only give this medicine as required following the dosage instructions above carefully. If you forget to give a dose, give the next dose when needed provided that the last dose was at least 6 hours ago. Do not give a double dose.
