Suggested Use

Always read the patient information leaflet before using this medicine.

  • For adults and children aged 12 years and over: take two 5 ml spoonfuls every 4–6 hours, up to four times a day

  • Do not exceed four doses in 24 hours

  • For oral use only; not suitable for children under 12

  • Contains sugar and alcohol; consult your doctor if you have diabetes, liver disease, epilepsy, or are on a low-sodium diet.
  • Discontinue use and seek medical help if you experience allergic reactions, swelling, or severe skin rashes.

What's In It

Each 5ml dose of Benylin Chesty Original Contains:Diphenhydramine hydrochloride 14mg and Levomenthol 2mg per 5ml dose. It also Contains: Liquid Glucose, Sucrose, Ethanol, Glycerol, Sodium Citrate, Saccharin Sodium, Citric Acid Monohydrate, Sodium Benzoate (E211), Ammonium Chloride, Caramel T12 (E150), Raspberry Flavour (Benzyl Alcohol, E1520 Propylene Glycol, Ethanol), Carbomer, Ponceau 4R (E124), Water.

Warning

DO NOT TAKE if you are allergic to any of the ingredients, are taking, or have taken in the last two weeks, drugs for depression known as Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors (MAOIs), are asthmatic, or suffer with Glaucoma or prostate problems. Not Suitable for Children under 12 years of age. Avoid alcoholic drink when taking Benylin Chesty Coughs Original.
