Proviron Tabs 25mg is used to treat androgen deficiency in men. It contains Mesterolone, a synthetic form of androgen that helps balance male hormones. Proviron is frequently prescribed for low testosterone and fertility problems.

Suggested Use
Proviron Tabs are used to treat:
- Male hypogonadism: A condition where the body does not produce enough testosterone.
- Declining physical activity and mental alertness: Often seen in middle-aged and older men.
- Reduced libido, fatigue, and mood disturbances: Symptoms associated with low testosterone levels.
- Infertility: Improves sperm count and quality in cases of oligozoospermia.
Dosage:
- Initial Treatment: 1 tablet (25 mg) three times daily.
- Maintenance: Depending on the patient’s response, the dosage may be adjusted to 1 tablet twice or once daily.
- For secondary male sex characteristics: 1 tablet (25 mg) 3-4 times daily for several months.
- Hypogonadism: Continuous therapy may be required.
Duration: Treatment duration varies, but a course of four to six weeks or prolonged uninterrupted treatment over several months may be recommended.
Warning
- Not suitable for individuals with carcinoma of the prostate, liver tumours, breast cancer, or hypersensitivity to the active substance or excipients.
- Common side effects include nausea, headache, and increased libido. Serious side effects may include liver toxicity, acne, and hair loss.
- Androgens are not suitable for enhancing muscular development in healthy individuals or increasing physical ability. Full clinical and laboratory investigations are necessary before starting treatment.
