Indications/Uses: In tb regimens, leprosy 12mg/kg before food. meningococcal carriers 600mg bd.
Interactions: Oral contraceptives. anticoagulants. oral hypoglycaemiacs. corticosteroids. cyclosporin. dapsone. halothane.
Side Effects: Gastro-intestinal upset. hepatitis. skin reactions. thrmbocytopenia. leucopenia. shortness of breath. flu syndrome. reddish colouration of urine, sweat and sputum.
