Twinrix Adult One Syringe is a combined hepatitis A (inactivated) and hepatitis B (recombinant) vaccine. It provides immunity against both hepatitis A and hepatitis B viruses in adults and adolescents aged 16 years and older. Active Substances: Hepatitis A virus (inactivated): 720 ELISA Units and Hepatitis B surface antigen (recombinant): 20 micrograms

Suggested Use
Twinrix Adult is used to prevent hepatitis A and hepatitis B infections in non-immune adults and adolescents aged 16 years and older who are at risk of exposure to these viruses. It is particularly recommended for travellers to areas where hepatitis A and B are endemic, healthcare workers, and individuals with chronic liver disease.
Dosage:
The standard primary vaccination schedule consists of three doses:
- First dose: At the elected date
- Second dose: One month after the first dose
- Third dose: Six months after the first dose
In exceptional circumstances, such as imminent travel, an accelerated schedule of three doses given at 0, 7, and 21 days may be used, with a fourth dose recommended 12 months after the first dose.
Warning
- Do not use if you are allergic to any of the vaccine components.
- Avoid if you have a severe infection with a high fever.
- Consult your doctor if you have a weakened immune system.
- Caution if you have bleeding problems or bruise easily.
- Fainting can occur after vaccination, especially in adolescents.
- Poor response to the vaccine may be observed in obese individuals and older adults.
