Precautions: Hypersensitivity. care in impaired liver function. may potentate the effect of carbamazepine, theophylline and warfarin.
Indications/Uses: As an alternative to penicillins in gram positive coccal infections due to susceptible organisms; 250-500 qid, with food.
Interactions: Drugs metabolized by the hepatic cytochrome p450 system.
Side Effects: Gastro-intestinal upset. nausea. vomiting. diarrhoea. allergic reactions.
