Levofloxacin solution for infusion is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to levofloxacin or other quinolones, epilepsy, a history of tendon disorders after previous fluoroquinolone use, children, growing adolescents, pregnant women, and breastfeeding women. Patients who have had serious adverse reactions to quinolone or fluoroquinolone-containing products in the past should avoid using Levofloxacin unless there are no alternative treatment options and a thorough benefit/risk assessment has been conducted. Caution should be exercised when co-administering Levofloxacin with medicinal products that affect tubular renal secretion, such as probenecid and cimetidine.
