Precautions: Severe renal disease. epilepsy. gastric ulceration. recurrent oedema. psychosis.
Indications/Uses: Parkinsonism 100mg daily, increased upto 400mg if needed. influenza 100mg daily for 5 days. herpes zoster 100mg bd for 14 days.
Interactions: Alcohol increases cns effects.
Side Effects: Nervousness. nausea. anorexia. inability to concentrate. convulsions. hallucinations. blurred vision.dry mouth.constipation.
