Why You'll Love It
- Convenience: The test can be performed in the comfort of your own home, providing quick results in just 60 seconds.
- Comprehensive Screening: It detects a range of parameters that can indicate infections or illnesses affecting major organs.
- Easy to Use: The test strips are simple to handle, and the color chart makes interpreting results straightforward.
- Family-Friendly: The pack includes six test strips, allowing multiple family members to be tested at different times.
Suggested Use
- Prepare the Test: Remove a test strip from its sealed pouch just before use.
- Collect Urine Sample: Urinate into a clean, dry container.
- Dip the Test Strip: Hold the strip by the end farthest from the test pads and dip the pads into the urine for 1-2 seconds. Remove excess urine by running the strip along the container’s rim.
- Read Results: Place the strip on an absorbent material with the test pads facing up. Compare the color changes on the strip to the provided color chart after 60 seconds.
Warning
As with any diagnostic test, results must be considered with all other clinical information available to your doctor. The Family Health Screening Test strips may be affected by substances or drugs that cause abnormal urine colour. The colour development on the test pad may consequently be masked, or a colour reaction may be produced that could be interpreted incorrectly.
- Interference: Certain substances like ascorbic acid (Vitamin C), chlorhexidine, or specific medications can interfere with test results. Avoid using skin cleansers containing chlorhexidine before testing.
- False Results: High levels of Vitamin C or alkaline urine may cause false negatives for blood detection. Some medications can lead to false positives for urobilinogen.
- Storage: Do not store urine samples at room temperature for more than one hour before testing.
- Clinical Consultation: While this test provides valuable insights, it is not a substitute for professional medical diagnosis. Consult a healthcare professional if you have concerns about your health or test results.
