Norvasc 5mg Tabs 30’s

KSh 2,500.00

Norvasc 5mg Tablets are used to treat high blood pressure and certain types of chest pain. Each tablet contains 5mg Amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker that relaxes blood vessels, improving blood flow. This action lowers blood pressure and reduces the heart’s workload, helping to prevent chest pain and support heart health.

Anti-Hypertensives

Suggested Use

Norvasc 5mg Tablets are prescribed for:

  1. Hypertension (High Blood Pressure): To lower blood pressure, reducing the risk of heart attack and stroke.
  2. Angina: To relieve chest pain caused by insufficient blood flow to the heart (including chronic stable and vasospastic angina).
  3. Coronary Artery Disease (CAD): To improve exercise tolerance and decrease the frequency of anginal attacks.

Dosage:
  • Adults: The usual starting dose is 5mg once daily, which may be increased to a maximum of 10mg once daily, depending on the patient’s response.
  • Children (6–17 years): The recommended dose is 2.5mg to 5mg once daily.
  • Elderly or Patients with Hepatic Impairment: Start with the lowest dose (e.g., 2.5mg if available) and adjust cautiously.

Swallow the tablet whole with water, with or without food, preferably at the same time each day.
