Suggested Use
Elocon 0.1% Lotion is indicated for:
- Inflammatory and pruritic skin conditions, such as eczema and psoriasis
- Dermatitis (various types, including contact and atopic dermatitis)
- Other steroid-responsive skin conditions requiring a topical treatment
Dosage:
- Apply a thin layer of Elocon Lotion to the affected area(s) once daily, or as directed by a healthcare provider.
- Use only enough lotion to cover the area, and do not apply to broken skin or sensitive areas like the face unless prescribed.
- For scalp use, gently massage the lotion into the skin to ensure even distribution.
Warning
- Long-term use can lead to skin thinning and other side effects. Use as directed by a healthcare provider, and avoid using for extended periods.
- Do Not Apply on the Face or Groin: Unless specifically instructed by a healthcare provider, avoid using Elocon on these sensitive areas to prevent skin thinning or irritation.
- Use with Caution in Children: Only apply under medical supervision, as children may absorb higher amounts, increasing the risk of systemic side effects.
- Avoid Occlusive Dressings: Unless prescribed, avoid covering the treated area, as occlusion can increase absorption and potential side effects.
