Warning
- Duloxetine may increase the risk of suicidal thoughts and behaviours in children, adolescents, and young adults. Patients should be monitored closely.
- Use with caution in patients with liver or severe renal impairment.
- SNRIs may increase the risk of bleeding, especially in patients taking anticoagulants or antiplatelet drugs.
- Monitor blood pressure, as duloxetine may cause an increase.
- Abrupt discontinuation may lead to withdrawal symptoms. Taper off slowly under medical supervision.
- Avoid combining duloxetine with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), other SNRIs, SSRIs, or substances that may cause serotonin syndrome.
