Combiwave is an inhaled medication used to treat and prevent asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) symptoms in adults and children aged 4 and older. It comes in a metered dose inhaler and includes two active ingredients: salmeterol and fluticasone propionate. Salmeterol is a long-acting bronchodilator, while fluticasone propionate is a corticosteroid.

Suggested Use
Combiwave is used to:
- Manage asthma symptoms, including wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, and coughing, especially at night or in the early morning.
- It also helps prevent exercise-induced asthma in adults and adolescents aged 12 and older and
- Is also used for long-term maintenance treatment of COPD, including chronic bronchitis and emphysema.
The dosage varies depending on the strength prescribed by the healthcare provider.
Warning
- Do not use Combiwave as a rescue inhaler for sudden asthma attacks. If you have sudden trouble breathing, use a different quick-relief inhaler.
- Combiwave may not be suitable for everyone, so inform your doctor about any health conditions, allergies, or medications you are taking.
- Fluticasone in Combiwave can cause side effects, particularly with long-term use, so it’s best to talk to your doctor about these and how to lessen them.
- Stopping Combiwave suddenly can worsen your condition, so make sure to follow your doctor’s instructions.
