Buscopan Ampoules relieve painful muscle spasms in the stomach, bowels, bile ducts, and urinary system.
The typical dose for adults and children over 12 is 1 ampoule (20mg) given through a muscle or slow vein injection, with the option to repeat after 30 minutes if needed. Children aged 6-12 usually take half an ampoule (10mg) through a muscle injection. No specific dosage adjustment is required for elderly individuals, but caution should be exercised when using the medication.
Warning
- Do not use it if you are allergic to Hyoscine Butylbromide or any other components in the formula.
- It’s not suitable for individuals with glaucoma.
- If you have myasthenia gravis, use caution.
- Be careful when using it for patients with tachycardia or heart insufficiency.
- Before taking Buscopan, consult your physician if you are pregnant or nursing.
- Possible side effects include dizziness, dry mouth, tachycardia, urinary retention, or skin reactions. If you experience severe side effects, seek medical help.
