Bonviva 3mg/3ml Injection is a medication given to postmenopausal women to treat osteoporosis. Active Ingredient: Ibandronic acid (as ibandronate sodium) 3mg per 3ml.

Bonviva 3mg/3ml Injection is used to treat osteoporosis in women after menopause to lower the chance of spinal fractures. It helps to build bone mass and decrease the likelihood of fractures by stopping bone resorption.

This injection is typically administered once every three months by a healthcare professional. The suggested dose of Bonviva is one 3mg injection every three months. The injection should be given through a vein in 15 to 30 seconds.

If the patient’s diet lacks enough calcium and vitamin D, they should also take supplements.

Warning

  • Do not use Bonviva if you are allergic to ibandronic acid or any of its components.
  • Make sure to take enough calcium and vitamin D before starting Bonviva.
  • Treat any bone or mineral metabolism problems before starting the medication.
  • Be cautious if you have severe kidney problems.
  • Regularly visit the dentist and maintain good oral hygiene.
  • Report any new thigh, hip, or groin pain.
  • Do not use Bonviva if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
