This injection is typically administered once every three months by a healthcare professional. The suggested dose of Bonviva is one 3mg injection every three months. The injection should be given through a vein in 15 to 30 seconds.
If the patient’s diet lacks enough calcium and vitamin D, they should also take supplements.
Warning
- Do not use Bonviva if you are allergic to ibandronic acid or any of its components.
- Make sure to take enough calcium and vitamin D before starting Bonviva.
