Bongard 70mg Tablets 4’s strengthens bones and prevent bone loss, making it particularly effective in treating osteoporosis in adults and reducing the susceptibility to fractures. Active Substance: Alendronic Acid 70mg per tablet.

Suggested Use
Bongard 70mg Tablets are indicated for:
- Treatment of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women to reduce the risk of fractures, particularly in the hip and spine.
- Treatment of osteoporosis in men to increase bone mass.
- Prevention of osteoporosis in individuals at high risk of bone loss.
- Management of Paget’s disease of bone to normalize bone turnover.
Dosage:
- Adults:
- Take one 70mg tablet once a week, preferably on the same day each week.
- Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of plain water (at least 200ml).
- Take the tablet in the morning at least 30 minutes before eating, drinking, or taking any other medications.
Warning
- Contraindications:
- Hypersensitivity to alendronic acid or any other component of the tablet.
- Esophageal abnormalities or conditions delaying esophageal emptying.
- Inability to sit or stand upright for at least 30 minutes.
- Hypocalcemia (low calcium levels in the blood).
- Precautions:
- Use with caution in patients with a history of gastrointestinal disorders, such as ulcers or gastritis.
- Ensure adequate calcium and vitamin D intake during treatment.
- Avoid lying down for at least 30 minutes after taking the tablet to prevent esophageal irritation.
- Side Effects:
- Common: Gastrointestinal discomfort, acid reflux, abdominal pain, constipation, or diarrhea.
- Rare but serious: Esophageal ulceration, osteonecrosis of the jaw, and atypical femoral fractures.
- Pregnancy and Lactation:
- Not recommended for use in pregnant or breastfeeding women.
- Drug Interactions:
- Avoid concurrent use with calcium, magnesium, or antacids, as these may interfere with absorption.
- Inform your doctor about all medications, supplements, or herbs you are taking.
