Aprovel 150mg Tablets help treat high blood pressure. They block the hormone angiotensin II, which normally makes blood vessels tighten. By doing this, Aprovel relaxes and widens the blood vessels, reducing blood pressure. Active Substance Irbesartan 150mg per tablet.

Suggested Use
Aprovel 300mg Tablets are used for:
- Hypertension (high blood pressure): Helps to lower blood pressure and reduce the risk of cardiovascular complications such as heart attack or stroke.
- Diabetic nephropathy: Used in hypertensive patients with type 2 diabetes to protect the kidneys and slow down the progression of kidney disease.
- The usual recommended dosage for adults is 150 mg once daily, which may be increased to 300 mg once daily based on the patient’s response.
- The medication can be taken with or without food, ideally at the same time each day for consistency.
- For certain populations, such as patients over 75 years old or those undergoing hemodialysis, a lower starting dose may be considered.
Warning
- Regular checks of kidney function and electrolyte levels (e.g., potassium) may be necessary during treatment.
- Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding due to potential risks to the fetus or infant.
- Common side effects include dizziness, fatigue, and hypotension. Serious side effects may require immediate medical attention.
- Symptoms of overdose may include hypotension and tachycardia. In case of an overdose, symptomatic treatment is advised.
