Suggested Use
Amloarb 10 is primarily used for:
- High Blood Pressure (Hypertension): Helps lower blood pressure to reduce the risk of stroke and heart attack.
- Kidney Protection: In patients with type 2 diabetes, it helps protect the kidneys from damage caused by high blood pressure.
Dosage:
- The typical starting dose for adults is one tablet daily, which can be adjusted based on individual response.
- It can be taken with or without food but should be taken at the same time each day for optimal effect.
- For patients with liver problems, a lower starting dose may be necessary, with careful monitoring during dosage adjustments.
Warning
- Do not use it if you are pregnant. If you become pregnant while taking this medication, stop using it and contact your doctor immediately. Do not take it if you are allergic to irbesartan, amlodipine, or any of the other ingredients in the tablet.
- Inform your doctor if you are taking any other medications, especially diuretics or medications containing aliskiren.
- Common side effects include dizziness, headache, and swelling of the ankles or feet. Serious side effects may include kidney problems, low blood pressure, and high potassium levels.
