Advant 16mg Tablets are primarily for the management of hypertension and heart failure. They help relax and widen blood vessels, making it easier for the heart to pump blood.Active Substances: Candesartan cilexetil (16mg per tablet)

Suggested Use
Advant 16mg Tablets are used to treat:
- Hypertension (High Blood Pressure): Helps lower blood pressure to reduce the risk of heart attacks, strokes, and kidney problems.
- Heart Failure: Used in adults with reduced heart muscle function, especially when ACE inhibitors cannot be used.
Dosage:
- Adults: The usual dose is 16mg once daily. Dosage may be adjusted based on individual response and medical condition.
- Children (aged 6-17 years): Dosage varies based on weight and medical condition. Typically, 2-16mg per day for children under 50kg and 4-32mg per day for children over 50kg.
Warning
- Should not be used during pregnancy unless advised by a qualified physician.
- Patients with renal impairment may require lower initial doses.
- May cause dizziness, headache, and orthostatic hypotension (dizziness upon standing).
- Can cause elevated potassium levels in the blood.
- Rarely, may cause rash, urticaria, pruritus, angioedema, and raised liver enzyme values.
