Suggested Use
The dosage of Adalat Retard 20mg Tablets should be personalized according to how the patient responds and tolerates it. Typically, starting with one tablet (20mg) once a day, preferably in the morning is advised. Remember to swallow the tablets whole with water and avoid crushing or chewing them.
Warning
Adalat Retard 20mg Tablets should not be taken by patients who are allergic to nifedipine or other dihydropyridines. Be careful if you have low blood pressure, have recently had a heart attack, or have a narrowing of the aorta. If you have liver problems, be cautious as it may affect how your body processes nifedipine. Avoid drinking grapefruit juice while taking this medication as it can increase the levels of nifedipine in your blood. Watch out for swelling in your limbs, as it may be a sign of too much widening of blood vessels.
