Indications/Uses: Streptococcal pharyngitis. sinusitis. otitis media. chest infections. skin and soft-tissue infections. adjunct in eradication of h pylori. 250-500mg bd, with or without food.
Interactions: Substrate and inhibitor of cyp3a3/4. inducers eg rifampicin decrease effect while inhibitors eg ketoconazole increase effect of saquinavir
Side Effects: Nausea. vomiting. diarrhoea. abdominal discomfort. allergic reactions. dyspepsia. taste and smell disturbances.jaundice. kidney failure.
